Debbie's Story

debbie_new

When I first became aware of Life Clubs I was delighted with the inspiring and joyful approach used to explore one's life and attitudes. Motivated to be part of a group that empower each other through insightful questions and discussion with others, I decided to host Life Clubs myself!

Well, training as a Life Clubs host was an intense experience with amazing results! With every workshop focused on a different aspect my life I felt like I was getting to know myself with more clarity. It is, of course, an ongoing project, but the effects so far have made me feel better about being the 'real' me and trust my judgment and intuitive decisions more!

Now I'm excited and ready to share the experience with others. The Toronto clubs promise to be awesome and inspiring - every time! I have a feeling there are many out there who want to actively experience some life-changing insights, and make some personal decisions based on strength and a clearer way of thinking!

If you are interested in hosting a Life Club, please contact us iwanttorunaclub@lifeclubs.ca for an application form.

We would like you to have attended at least one Life Club before you apply. If this is not possible, please let us know in advance.

Open Days and training

If you want to apply to become a Life Clubs Host, the first step is to attend an Open Day. This will give us a chance to meet and see if we'll enjoy working together.

Our next Open Day is:

  • March 5, 2012

We hold Open Days throughout the year. Places are limited so contact us today.

About our Open Days

Our Open Days are usually on a Saturday and they run from 10am to 4pm. We also run evening Open Days from 5 - 9 pm. We currently hold Open Days around the year in Toronto, Ontario.

Eva-Marie, CEO of Life Clubs Canada, runs our Open Days, along with 1 or 2 of her colleagues.

Open Days are relaxed and informal, they are designed for us to get to know you and you to get to know us.

Open Day timetable

The Open Day will begin with a welcome and introduction session.

You will then participate in a 90-minute Life Club, this helps you to see how a Life Club is run and lets us see how well you participate and interact in a group environment.

Then we will ask attendees in turn to do a short (5-10 minutes) introductory talk to a Life Clubs theme – you will have been sent this theme in advance and have had time to prepare. This allows us to see how confident and comfortable you are introducing topics to a group and allows you to see a range of the themes and topics that are covered in Life Clubs.

We will conclude the day with a question and answer session and a Lightbulb Moment from one of our Success Workshops.

You will be contacted shortly after the Open Day to let you know if we would like to invite you to become a Life Clubs Host and book you into our training program.

Training

Our intensive five-day training (ICF approved) will equip you fully to host a club. You'll find the training incredibly illuminating and enjoyable. It is essential that you have been to at least 3 Life Clubs before attending the training. If you don't have a Life Club near you, we will make alternative arrangements for you.

Day One we call Nuts & Bolts and it will teach you the practicalities of hosting a club as well as all about the brand.

Days Two-Four are called Foundation and are all about discovering yourself as well as learning all the skills needed to host a club.

Day Five is Flag Day, when you create a marketing plan with the help of our experts.

Our next Training Days are:

  • March 26 - March 30, 2012

All training takes place in Toronto, Ontario.

Monica's story

Here is what our Oakville Host, Monica said about the training:

What a ride

abigail.smith_thumb

Life Clubs training was informative and inspiring. I learned more about myself and have expanded my skills. I am now very confident in running my Life Clubs. Bring it on!

Sonia, our Beaches and Downtown host says:

Now that I have hosted a few LifeClubs sessions, I look back on my training and know that it prepared me to be a competent host. We all approached the first day of training with excitement and a bit of trepidation . As the week progressed, so did we in our understanding of the course content and the process for becoming a Lifeclubs host. Our confidence grew every day with each new exercise. Eva-Marie was patient and encouraging as a teacher.

I look forward to being a part of the launch of Life Clubs in Canada and can't wait to witness the change in people's lives as they attend the weekly workshops. I am excited and proud to be a Life Clubs host.
